Top-Rated Roofer Services in Belle Glade, FL

Belle Glade was incorporated on April 9, 1928, one day after a hurricane that reshaped how this entire region thinks about building for the next storm. APEX Roofing of Delray Beach works Belle Glade’s agricultural streets and lakeside neighborhoods with that history in mind, not just the paperwork.

Why Belle Glade People Trust Apex

Licensed, Permitted, and Built for the Land Around Lake Okeechobee

Licensed and Permitted

Every job is licensed and insured under Florida rules, with permits filed in person, since Belle Glade’s Building Department still runs an offline-only permitting system, and thorough inspections at each stage.

Local Expertise

Knowing that Belle Glade Gardens carries no HOA at all, that Torry Island’s lakefront properties see different exposure than the inland agricultural parcels, and how the city’s paper-based permitting process actually works.

Storm Protection Rules Handled Early

Documentation gets sorted before the crew shows up, not discovered halfway through, since nobody wants a stop-work delay mid hurricane season.

Hurricane Straps and Wind Mitigation

Upgrades anchor the roof to the home’s structure more securely under Palm Beach County’s own wind-load requirements, often lowering insurance premiums once the inspection is filed correctly.

Belle Glade Gardens to Torry Island, Every Street Tells a Different Story Here

Belle Glade Gardens, developed during the city’s mid-century expansion near Main Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, carries no HOA at all, single-family homes on spacious lots where material and color decisions rest entirely with the homeowner.

Torry Island, home to a campground and marina on Lake Okeechobee, sees a different kind of moisture exposure than inland Belle Glade, humidity and lake-driven weather patterns rather than coastal salt air.

The Glades neighborhood, close-knit and residential near the lake, carries a mostly non-HOA character consistent with the rest of the city’s housing stock.

Several residents live in farm labor housing communities like Okeechobee Center, USDA-regulated properties managed separately from typical single-family homeownership, with their own maintenance and repair processes.

The broader agricultural land surrounding the city, where sugarcane, corn, and winter vegetables are still the region’s economic backbone, means many properties combine a home with outbuildings tied to farming operations.

This whole area falls within Palm Beach County, which is not part of Florida’s High Velocity Hurricane Zone the way Broward and Miami-Dade are, but carries its own strict wind-speed and product-approval standards. The city’s own permitting runs through the Belle Glade Building Department at 110 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, in person only.

Roofing Services Built for Belle Glade's Homes, Land, and Codes

Gutters and waterproofing keep water away from the fascia and foundation, and roof leak detection finds the actual entry point instead of guessing, since a wrong patch just moves the same leak somewhere else. See gutter services.

Roof repair covers everything from wind damage to age-related wear, while a full roof replacement makes sense once a roof is past its service life. Explore our roofing services.

A roof inspection before hurricane season catches small problems early, and roof maintenance between storms extends the life of tile, metal, or shingle systems without waiting for a leak to force the decision.

Considering solar alongside a new roof? APEX handles both under one license and one crew. See solar installation.

Storm restoration work moves fast after a named system passes through, documenting damage for insurance claims while crews handle emergency tarping. See storm damage restoration.

Commercial roofing follows different rules than a single family home, relevant for the agricultural operations and downtown businesses along Main Street.

Living in a Historic District or HOA Community? We Handle the Approval Paperwork Too

Most of Belle Glade, including Belle Glade Gardens and The Glades, carries no HOA at all. For the smaller number of association-governed properties in the city, APEX confirms those specific requirements before submitting anything.

Michael is very professional and knowledgeable about the whole process of my roof replacement. From explaining the materials and labor process and also handling all of the HOA documents and city permits necessary. I also like how the permits are included in the price and not charged separately after being quoted.

We recently had our tile roof replaced by Apex Roofing at our home in Delray Beach, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Jesse and Mike were fantastic to work with from start to finish. They were professional, responsive, and kept us informed throughout the entire project. Our home is in the Sabal Lakes Community, and Jesse also helped us navigate the HOA approval process by providing all of the documentation we needed, which made everything much easier. The tile roof replacement was completed on schedule, the workmanship was excellent, and the crew kept the job site clean every day. The finished roof looks incredible and has completely transformed the look of our home. If you’re looking for a roofing company in Delray Beach, I highly recommend Jesse and the team at Apex Roofing. It's past time for a new roof. A little over a year ago I had a leak in my roof. I had a tarp on it and Mike, Apex's sales person stopped by and asked if I was interested in a new roof quote. At the time I was hoping that a repair would be sufficient. He politely asked if he could be in touch periodically. I said yes as he wasn't pushy at all. He texted me a couple of times but never said anything other than if I needed him to call. No hard sale tactics. Over the year it became clear that a complete new roof was needed. I solicited several quotes and decided to call Apex as well. Mike came out, listened to my needs and gave me a quote. What he offered was a good price that included more options than the others. I spoke with my wife and called him back the next day and he came back out and made all the paperwork simple and answered all my questions. The roof is scheduled to be installed shortly. I want to add one last comment. The roof started to leak again the day before he came out to go over some paperwork. I showed him the leak and told him I was concerned about it since we were leaving for vacation in the next couple of days. He went to his truck and got his ladder and some underlayment material and put on a temporary patch. He didn't have to do that. That type of service is important to me. I'm confident that the new roof will be installed without issue. Mark Hickingbotham, owner

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a permit to replace my roof in Belle Glade?

Yes, and it’s worth knowing the process here differs from coastal Palm Beach cities: Belle Glade’s Building Department still operates an offline-only permitting system, so applications and documents are handled in person rather than through a digital portal. A Notice of Commencement is required once the job passes $2,500. APEX manages that in-person process so it’s not an extra errand on your end.

Get the specific material brand and product line named in writing on your estimate, not just a category like “tile” or “shingle.” A contractor unwilling to commit to specifics on paper is leaving room to substitute later without you noticing.

Often yes, a structure with its own roof used for agricultural storage or operations typically needs its own permit separate from the main house, and we scope that as part of the estimate rather than an afterthought.

Ask for photos of the actual failure point and a written explanation of the cause before agreeing to any repair. A contractor who can show you the problem quickly is diagnosing the roof, one who can’t is probably guessing.

Yes, financing options are available, particularly relevant given how much of the city’s housing is individually owned without an HOA reserve to draw from.
